Relevant n.o. is focused on connecting people of different backgrounds and ages. The organization creates an environment in which people can relate to each other on the grounds of Christian faith and principles. Helps those in need and support the ones who try to help others.
The volunteers can choose to be involved in one of its social services including:
- work with children and youth in the PUZZLE club room, organization of meetings, trips, summer camps and educational events. The volunteers can help with tutoring and school preparation for German or English classes or even give their own language lessons. They can run creative workshops or clubs depending on their talents and preferences (e.g. sports, dance, music, drama, arts, photography clubs, etc.). They can participate in free-time activities within the club room (playing board games, darts, table football, engage in discussions, workshops, movie screenings, concerts, etc.) and get involved in planning and organizing new events;
- work with foster home leavers in the NEST halfway house, helping them with their everyday problems, organizing work therapy sessions, free-time activities and providing personal and spiritual support. Both individual work and group activities are encouraged. The volunteers might run creative workshops, organize trips and sporting events and help the girls present and sell their products;
- work with the NEST clients in the creative workshop of the social enterprise, helping them acquire practical skills relevant to their future jobs, producing soaps and candles, crafting jewelry, creating T-shirt designs and helping with the printing, cutting, preparation and delivery of final products of the printing press;
- work with the elderly within the home care and visiting service, providing practical help in the household, spending free time with the elderly and accompanying them to social and cultural events to prevent their isolation.

IN Network Slovakia in Lučenec provides several social activities. IN is a non-profit organization with the mission to support specific activities focused on improving the quality of life of citizens, individual personal growth and fulfilling social needs. The organization from its start in 2014 is actively involved in ministry to different age groups and social backgrounds, including Roma.
The volunteers will be involved in the activities with low-threshold programs for: youth and teenagers (in Lučenec, V. Krtíš, organize meetings, trips, summer camps and educational activities. Volunteers can help with the preparation of tasks in English, English for Children. They can lead creative workshops and clubs according to their talent and preferences (sports, dance, music, dramatic, photographic, etc). They can participate in leisure activities in the clubhouse (playing soccer, billiards, table tennis, movie evenings, discussion meetings, concerts, etc). Betania Senec N.O. provides continuous social welfare service for 12 clients who stay in a shelter house year-round and 6 clients that use our workshops daily and fell safely and protected. It executes its activity as a shelter home of social services for mentally handicapped adult persons. The main aim of the project is to bring a new alternative in the life of handicapped people, while respecting her/his specific characteristics and allowing the client to independently decide on the life around her/him. The professional staff tactfully guides the clients and provides them with comprehensive, Christian-oriented care in a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. The main goal of Land of Harmony the foundation is the integration and inclusion of persons with disabilities into community life in different areas – education, work, living condition, and leisure time activities. Inside the building of the foundation, there is an independent living project for 5 people with disabilities. There are also people with disability living in the independent living project outside of the foundation who receive support from the foundation.
Foundation organizes regular club meetings for young people with and without disabilities offers them PC training, English lessons, cooking, movie night, sports, theatre, music, ... Every month they organize weekends in the mountains with the clients and volunteers with a specific program. Foundation is involved in different local but also international project (hosting and sending of short and long term ESC, youth exchanges, trainings, seminars and study visit). Apart from one regular project manager, 2 part-time workers there are about 20 volunteers.

The home of social services Sibirka in Bratislava with residential form offers social and health care services to 38 clients with several disabilities in the age of 18-65. New service of DSS Sibírka - early intervention service - offers support and accompaniment for family with a handicapped child from 0-7 years.
One part of social services is lifelong education, in which we support the independence of people with disabilities based on social and life skills. In the field of work, we encourage the development of working habits, in the area of everyday life - to eat, drink, dress, take care of their own hygiene, either alone or with help. Development of interest activities - art creation, music and development of sports activities - boccia. In the cognitive sphere, in the context of alternative communication, we work on expressing, recognizing, perceiving time and working with memory, helping clients understand information, communicate. Education is provided by 13 specialized educators, 35 other staff including physiotherapists, psychologists, nurses who provide therapies such as basal stimulation, art therapy, drama therapy, music therapy and work therapies that all train cognitive functions and gross and fine motor skills.

Dom RAFAEL is a new founded center. It is a non-profit organization organized in newly built 3-level building providing both health and social care for seriously and chronically ill, for people with mental and physical disabilities and their families. The center is situated in calm and pleasant surrounding of a park, yet easily accessible by car or public transport. Dom Rafael offers 4 main services under one roof- Hospice, Nursing home, Special care for people with Alzheimer's and Parkinson and on top of it Social care for adolescents with disabilities and special needs. This is provided with comprehensive care in a pleasant atmosphere by the professional multidisciplinary team composed of doctors, nurses, rehabilitation workers, specialized pedagogues and social workers. The capacity of the center is all year accommodation for 40 persons and daily stay for 20 persons. The center also focuses on sheltered workshops- bakery and coffee shop. In addition it's organizing different kind of daily activities for their clients - e.g. music therapy, art therapy, ergo therapy, physiotherapy and many others in order to bring a new alternative into the life of the handicapped people while respecting their specific characteristics and allowing them to decide independently and to participate actively. They create tasteful products with decorative and utility character, while staff is keen on broadening knowledge of the clients and on the development of their mental skills. A variety of clients of different age and life situations are staying in Dom RAFAEL, that's why the establishment's main essence is orientation towards family atmosphere and warm environment. Additionally, Dom RAFAEL offers spiritual, psychological and consultative support for clients and their families. The center is located in a very attractive area of the capital city – surrounded by Lesopark Petrzalka (Citypark Petrzalka).
The volunteers will be important part of our team, working under professional guidance of our social workers and therapists. Own ideas and initiatives are very much appreciated. Typical tasks and activities of our volunteers would be:
- Possibility to work and support disabled people during the therapies (ergo therapy, music therapy etc.),
-Accompany and help elderly and seriously ill with their daily routine; arranges leisure time activities and events, being supportive with open heart and soul, being open to priceless conversations with people who usually overcame or are suffering after difficult accidents/ illnesses.
- Support people in development of their individual skills through the workshops (producing the objects from wood, paper or cloth which could be sold as presents for special occasions)
- Organize the presentation of the products made in the workshops and accompanying the clients while selling the products. Dom RAFAEL participates for example on Christmas markets while selling products made during workshops by disabled people.
- Assist the handicapped with different activities that develop their independence and social integration in the society e.g. shopping, swimming pool, physical activities, cultural and social events
- Help disabled people with daily tasks in sheltered workshops – helping in the bakery or coffee shop
- As Dom RAFAEL is in municipal park available also for public, volunteers will be involved in revitalizing the surrounding environment of the Dom RAFAEL complex – e.g. gardening activities, planting flowers and trees, watering plants.
- Team meetings – the volunteer is integrated in regular meetings of the staff and in the process of decision making of the activities done by her/him.

The Deutsch-Slowakische Begegnungsschule is a private school with kindergarten. The parents have a special expectation in the work and success of the education. The school enrolls about 70 children in four groups in the Kindergarten (age 3-6) and elementary school class 1-4 and gymnasium 5-8 class. Altogether about 25 full-time teachers are working with the children. Beside the normal school program, DSB offers day care and is open from Monday till Friday from 7.30 am till 5.30 pm, which means, that many children attend the school the whole day and have to be looked after and also lost of various free time activities. 80% of the children are Slovak, 20% of the kids are German native speakers. The aim of the school is the German Abitur (Matura). The school grow each year with at least one more class. The study program is provided in German and Slovak language.
